Thinking back...

Recently, Gabe and I have been trying to envision how different our lives will be once our little Ethan arrives. How different will our morning routine be? What time will we get to bed at night? What will we do on Saturday mornings? The answer to everything is that we simply have no grasp on how much things will change. Everything right now is a mystery that we are so very excited to uncover. However, the one thing that we both know is how much our love for each other has grown over the years. We are so different now than we were at 16 and in love. Each day brings about something new that makes me realize just how much we truly are meant to be together. In looking at old photos of Gabe and I over the years, it's amazing to see how much our relationship has changed and grown. However, in all of them, the one thing that has remained the same is just how happy we are together. Sure, we have our ups and downs, our good days and our bad...but through it all, over all these years, we have remained the best of friends. Our marriage is one built on trust, communication, understanding, listening, laughter and love. And while we may not know what lies ahead, we know that we will face whatever parenthood may bring, together, and that our children will always know what true love is.
